BCT Entertainment was approached about designing a broadcast booth for the Republican National Convention Media Center. They needed the flexibility of having a broadcast booth for their newscasters, but then be able to turn it around for the intimacy of a “Hangout” session. This was very successful, giving a platform for the presidential candidates and broadcasters to connect with a younger demographic.
The light design was based around the studio and out. The studio had Plexiglas walls for sound abatement, but allowed us have a back drop of people in the booth. Lighting was critical.
By pre-visualizing the whole project we were able to view all aspects of the room from the cameras position, giving us the ability to preemptively troubleshoot any potential conflicts in the real world application.
The flexibility and clean look made this project come together, but the Pre-visualization made the load in of the project very smooth.
